BSF sent a team of deaf mute eskrimadors to the Australian National Eskrima Championships in Bunbury,West Australia on November 28 & 29.
I Nyoman Satriawan,part of the BSF Special Needs Martial Arts program,Deaf Mute Stickfighting won the Gold Medal in his class (18-39 years old) Single Stick beating his coach I Made Swidiartha in the final.Rodney Holt took home 2 bronze in the Over 40 years old division.
BSF Special needs Eskrimadors impressed the officials so much,that BSF has been invited to the World titles in the Phillipines in 2016

Cricket on the beach???
On a beautiful,but hot Sunday Bali Sports Foundation held the first Beach Cricket tournament ever held in Bali on the Mertasari Beach in South Sanur.Beach Cricket a variation of the regular game and indoor cricket.Batting in only one direction,and with a solid wicket to allow the ball to bounce.
Showing how that quintessential English game of cricket is now well developed in the local schools of Bali (and paradoxically not in the international schools),over a 80 young Balinese players joined in this historic day to try and play cricket on sand.
And it worked….
Under Tournament Director Wayan Samuel,the tournament went off without a hitch and was a success.Together with the help of Denpasar Cricket coach I Wayan Suandi and Denpasar Cricket head Mr Yudha beach cricket is certainly here to stay,with plans for an International tournament next year.
Bali Sports Foundation had a soft opening for its new sports center,with the holding of the 1st Uma Harum Karate Cup.With over 120 karateka’s participating,the event was success
On the 30th October,Bali Sports Foundation kicked off its “Road to Singapore” with the Tabanan Soccer 6’s,a Regional under 14 six a side soccer tournament in which the winner from each Regency tournament will contest the final round in the Municipality of Denpasar. The winner of the final will be taken by BSF to the “Singapore U14 Soccer Sixes tournament” next year. This tournament involves teams from all over Southeast Asia including Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Singapore and India amongst others.

Together the Australia Consulate General,Bali Sports Foundation’s karate kids helped and performed at the 2011 Clean the Beach as part of the worldwide Clean the World.
Thanks to Bali Sports Foundation (BSF) I Made Budha (Lolo) will be the first Balinese (and Indonesian) kiteboarder to compete with Asia’s best in Thailand in the 2011-12 Kiteboard Asia Tour.
